How do I read a Supplement Facts label?Updated 3 hours ago
When reading a Supplement Fact label, there are key lines you’re looking for.
Start with the serving size, since every amount listed is based on that serving.
Then review:
Amount per serving: How much of each nutrient or ingredient the product provides.
% Daily Value: How much a nutrient contributes to the recommended daily intake. A Daily Value has not been established for every ingredient.
Ingredient forms: The specific form of a vitamin, mineral or other ingredient included.
Other ingredients: Components used to make the product (processing aids), such as flavors, capsules or stabilizers.
Directions: How much to take and how often.
Allergen information: Depending on your specific needs, any required allergen disclosures or relevant manufacturing statements.
Ancient Nutrition’s labels are designed to show the ingredients and amounts included in each serving.
We establish specifications for each formula and conduct testing to confirm that the finished product is consistent with those specifications:
Third-Party Tested: Every lot is tested at an ISO-accredited third-party laboratory.
Tested for Identity, Potency and Composition: Raw-material identity testing, plus finished-product testing for potency, composition and microbiological quality.
Facility Audits: Our team visits our manufacturing partners' facilities to confirm compliance with FDA regulations and brand expectations.
Certificates of Analysis: We require a Certificate of Analysis for every manufactured lot and review it against our product specifications before a finished product is released.
